As an all volunteer organization; the gift of time, is one of the most valuable contributions a supporter can make. There are countless ways to get involved with YSEF. Whether it's planning fundraising events, being a student mentor, serving on the Board of Directors, or lending a hand at the Impact Pantry or District Closet, all volunteers are essential to our mission. Through their selfless efforts, volunteers not only amplify the impact of YSEF's initiatives, but also create a ripple effect of positive change within the community it serves.
YSEF is grateful for the numerous volunteers from the school district, Luther Memorial Church, and the community at large who keep the operation running. Our volunteer YSEF board is supported by the work of additional committee volunteers from the community at large.

Volunteer Opportunities with the YSEF Board of Directors:
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing the investment of the YSEF funds in addition to preparing the budget and establishing the foundation’s financial policies.
Fund Distribution Committee
The Fund Distribution Committee manages a resource distribution process in conformance to the purpose of YSEF. The Committee is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of all initiatives and recommending continuation funding to the Board of Directors.
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the solicitation of contributions, including endowments and grants, in support of YSEF’s purposes.
Impact Committee
The Impact Committee is responsible for educating and engaging the York Suburban students to meet the needs of fellow students through philanthropic compassion. The committee chair shall be responsible for planning and overseeing the student members consistent with the mission and goals of the York Suburban Education Foundation.
Marketing Committee
Our Marketing Committee exists to help fuel public awareness of all needs at YSEF for the benefit of students and their families and caregivers.
Governance
The Governance Committee is responsible for identifying potential board members; recruiting and nominating suitable prospective board members for consideration by the Board of Directors. The nominating committee will also assess the effectiveness of board processes and members to engage in a highly active and productive membership.
Planning & Evaluation
The Planning & Evaluation Committee exists to navigate future plans an ensure sustainability for the organization.
