IMPACT PANTRY: FOOD & HYGIENE

The Impact Foundation has established a remarkable initiative to combat food insecurity among York Suburban students and their families by establishing a well-supported food pantry. Recognizing the crucial role nutrition plays in academic success, the district has taken proactive steps to ensure that no child goes hungry.

Located at Luther Memorial Church, The YSEF Impact Pantry provides a "Choice Pantry," for YS families who are experiencing food insecurity.  An online order form allows you to select the food and toiletries that your family will use.  Orders can be placed for pickup every other Thursday.  The Pantry offers various shelf stable food items, snacks, fresh produce, dairy items, and meats as well as toiletries and household cleaning essentials. 

Hygiene items, such as diapers and period packs are also available monthly at the pantry through a partnership with Healthy Steps Diaper Bank.

Thanks to generous donations from local businesses, community members, and partnering organizations, the pantry is well-stocked and able to cater to the needs of its students, families, and caregivers. 

The Pantry has implemented a seamless process for families to access the pantry, ensuring their privacy and dignity throughout. By providing this vital resource, the school district not only nourishes bodies but also uplifts spirits, fostering a caring and supportive environment that empowers students to thrive both academically and at home.

The YSEF Impact Pantry is located at 1907 Hollywood Drive York, Pennsylvania 17403 inside of the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.
